about

An ouisle slop. You have three hours to come up with a new recipe for the blog.

What we need:

Your own recipe. No copy-paste recipes from other places.

Your own picture. Do take the picture yourself, don’t send us a picture that was taken by someone else. It’s a rule. You are allowed to take a picture of your food using a smartphone.

Recipe on the website. You can of course link to your site, your other recipe and your picture, but your recipe must be available on the site. This is for all readers to access, not just for moderators.

How to do it:

1. Go to the main page of the site. Click on the link for the Ouisle Slop recipe. Look for the line that says "What's the point?" underneath the recipe.

The main page for the recipe (a very boring one) on ouisleslop.

[OUISLE SLOP IS A TRADITIONAL DANISH SWEET, ORIGINALLY MADE FROM BOILED MILK, RYE BREAD AND CINNAMON. TODAY IT'S OFTEN MADE WITH A COMBINATION OF DRIED APRICOTS, PRUNES, CAROB POWDER AND/OR MOLASSES. THE DANISH NAME OF THE SWEET IS OUISLIP. OTHER ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS ARE: "APRICOT PUDDING", "CINNAMON PUDDING", AND "APRICOT BREAD", WHICH SOUNDS LIKE ANOTHER WORD, "APRICOT OUISLE". THE DANISH NAME IS VERY CLOSE TO THAT OF THE ENGLISH APRICOT PUDDING.]
